29 Jan Wedding Dress inspiration from the Couture Catwalks in Paris
Yesterday was the final day of Paris Haute Couture week. And again, it was mind-blowing. Haute Couture is a creation of exclusive custom-fitted design. Couture means dressmaking in French. This is high end fashion, made by hand from the start to finish only using the highest quality, expensive and exclusive materials. Not all labels can use this term as it has to meet certain well-defined standards. Only a few have the privilege and the gowns that were presented last week were absolutely breathtaking. If budget wouldn’t be relevant, I bet that each and every bride-to-be would order such a couture dress. But also if you are keeping an eye on the price-tag, these gowns are a perfect source of inspiration. When you look at these wedding dresses haute couture, you will also note a lot of trends for this Spring/Summer 2016-season. From traditional princess dresses to more revealing column designs with extreme necklines (either very deep or very high), a special 3d effect of flowers and flirty fringes. Moreover, a white long dress is not the standard anymore as you can opt for these dreamy pastel colors or a little white dress where you can show your legs. Now take a look; which dress or designer is your favourite?
