06 Oct What do you gift a one year old
Last weekend was one for the books! Our son turned one year old and we celebrated in the best possible way. We chose to keep it small, invite just family and host the party in our house. We wanted to make sure he was surrounded by the people he knows best and at a place that he feels right at home. Still, my husband and I had a full week of preparations to make sure everything would be perfect for his first birthday celebration. And then I don’t only talk about the decorations and the drinks and bites, but also about his presents. And that was a hard thing because, what to gift a one year old kid? So to make sure you won’t have to go through the same struggles as I did, here are my top 10 ideas
- Stokke bed box
The baby has been in a plane 3 times now and will be a true adventurer. We therefore thought that the Stokke Bed Box would be the perfect gift. It’s a premium ride-on suitcase that turns an economy seat into a first class travel experience!
2. His first bag
I’m obsessed with the beautiful designs by Fleur des Fleurs and as a bagaddict we needed to gift him his first bag!
- Wooden toys, like a garage
For some reason, little Bou is already obsessed with cars and helicopters so we thought that this garage by Little Dutch would be his next favorite toy.
- An educational tablet
I think every parent can relate, babies love phones and tablets. So why not gift him his own, one that is also educational? Win – win!
- Something for his room, like a rug
A room can always use an upgrade, so with a rug, or a lamp, for example. I really love this Bloomingville rug which is perfect as a play mat for babies and children, get the stuffed animals out of the closet and let the zoo come to life.
- A mega stuffed animal giraffe
Nothing is better than your favorite stuffed animal, especially in this size, haha!
- Bath toys
As my baby (yes! He will always remain my baby!) loves to take a bath, I think there are not enough toys for the bath tub in the world. A fun and affordable gift, and perfect for everyday use!
- Food wear accessories like a bib, plastic plate, etc
Another great gift that will be used every day. Really can’t have enough of fun food wear accessories, including, bibs, plastic plates, drinking bottles, etc.
- Paperweights
There is only one thing better to gift than books, and that is something that keeps it all together. Paperweights in fun colors, styles or models, should be on top of every kid’s wishlist!
– As always, thank you for reading! XoXo Susanne! –
