21 May Chanel Girl Bag
The Chanel Girl Bag totally swept me off my feet. You might already have seen this bag in the fashion show reports, on fashion blogs or in the windows of the Chanel boutiques and then you know what I am talking about. This year boy meets girl. As you probably know, the Chanel Boy Bag has been around for a few years now and is each season reinvented by fresh colors, different materials, change in clasps and by updating the quilting. The Boy is wanted, a very popular bag that is on the wish list of many women. However, recently Karl decided to create something new, something riskier, something girlish. This bag has to be worn by tying the two sleeves in a knot. You could carry the bag around your shoulder but you can even make a bigger statement by carrying it around your waist.
Karl Lagerfeld designed the Girl Bag in two sizes, different colors and fabrics. The bags in the softest lambskin are truly desirable. But as tweed has always played a big role in the Chanel story, he also used the traditional fabric for this new accessory. Karl turned the iconic tweed jacket into an IT-bag and I guess that Miss Coco Chanel must be pleased with this brilliant design. And so are we…
