08 Mar Panini Amsterdam
Grab your bag and go to Panini (Amsterdam)!
My boyfriend and I passed this tiny restaurant at least a hundred times without noticing it. We practically are neighbors and we always walk past this casual Italian place whenever we go to get our groceries at Albert Heijn. Until last week and since then I regret the fact that I have been so blind all that time!
Eva from Mrs. Anchelon invited me, together with 4 other bloggers, for a bloggersevent at Panini on the Vijzelgracht. I am always up for an extensive brunch/lunch on a Sunday so I went for it! This fine but casual place opened its doors in 1986 after Peter Landshoff returned from Italy where he worked at a local traditional focaccia bakery and was turned into one of them. And today, after 25 years we can still enjoy the traditional Italian food at this relaxed and cozy restaurant on the Vijzelgracht.
Once we were seated we were totally surprised by some of the dishes that are offered on the dinner-menu. In order to make sure that we could taste as much as possible we had five different starters, five mains and three deserts (yammie!). And I have to say that every dish was delicious! Although it was hard to keep myself back once these plates were served, I tried my best to take the best shots possible!
