14 Nov The bag of… Britta Maxime
Her smile is as bright and sincere as the smile of Julia Roberts. She was passionate and full of dreams when she launched her blog in 2012 to share her thoughts on everything that excites her. Today many brands have put her blog on top of the list to collaborate and her readership is growing each and every day. I’m talking about Britta Maxime, the fashion and lifestyle blog by the lovely Britt Vissers. She has an amazing positive vibe and is truly authentic. We had a lovely cappuccino date on Thursday and you understand that I couldn’t keep from asking her all about her gorgeous accessory. So here is, The bag of… Britta Maxime.
What can you tell us about the bag in the pictures?
I bought my Proenza Shouler Bag in New York in July 2014 as a graduation gift. I already had my eye on this one for a while. I specifically chose the black one because I really wanted to add a little black shoulder bag to my collection. It’s easy to carry and bring along all the stuff you need.
What is your perfect bag to bring to university?
Haha, a canvas bag! When I was in high school I always brought my Balenciaga city bag since I put all my books in my locker. But now you will see me walking down the hallway with my Proenza Shouler and a black canvas bag.
Which bag would you carry on a first date?
I think that I would borrow one of my sister’s bags, a classic black lily from Mulberry.
How would you define your style?
Minimal, feminine and sturdy. Usually I combine a basic look with an outstanding statement piece or designer bag.
What is your number 1 holiday destination and which bag would be always along your side?
A wallet on a chain by Mulberry so I can always have my phone, wallet and keys with me. I would love to go back to The Caribbean, to go to Saint Barths and Saba.
Who is your style icon and why?
Lizzy van der Ligt, because her style is really outstanding and unique. Sometimes I could use a little more of that.
Do you have any tips for a starting blogger and how you combine studying with blogging?
Stay close to yourself and know your strengths. This way people will like to follow you for who you are and what you do.
How would you describe your perfect Sunday?
Waking up at the end of the morning with sunlight through my window. Meet up with friends for an extensive Sunday brunch in town (always choose something with avocado, see her instagram for more), wander through the Pijp to find new little shops and I guess we will end up at a cafe for a well deserved wine.
Thank you so much Britt for taking the time to share your thoughts on bags! We can’t wait to see more of you on your blog, Britta Maxime.
